It Is Not About What You Want, However Instead What Your Body Needs
In my studies of mind, body and spiritual development It came to my attention that the human body is like a ORGANIC ROBOT. There are things that it needs from a health and wellness stand point in order to be able to function optimally.
As spiritual being having a physical experience we are having a dual experience where we can choose how to operate based on free will. However sometimes we operate based on how certain things make the body feel.
When I say its not about what you want, but what the body needs I am speaking in the context of holistic health, wellness and fitness since some people will attempt to twist what I mean and justify why the LUSTS to the body as something it needs.
The lusts of the flesh are ways our body reacts to certain things in nature and sure while it may feel good in the moment this is where as spiritual beings operating in this physical body we have to develop self control and say although I may want to go this route based on how my body is feeling, it actually may not be what my body needs because there can be a massive negative after effect of this action.
This happens especially when it comes to eating food and consuming certain substances, they may taste good to the tongue, may make us feel a high but the question becomes from a nutritional stand point is it impacting my body positively to help it function better.
Am I feeding my body the right foods that help support the various systems in the body.
The same goes for working out. A lot of us do the basic movements just going along in life never exercising our body in ways that help its from a mobility, flexibility, and strength stand point.
To some people its seems like too much work and they say they don't have the time, to some they don't see the benefit because they expect quick short to feelings to determine is something is good for them which I shared above is a bad way to judge what the body needs.
All these factors go into why apart of self-mastery is knowing that as a spiritual being having a physical experience we must keep our body in check and optimal health through eating and doing things that benefit it internally and externally.
The best way to understand what the body needs is by learning about holistic health & wellness.
